We nvr really blog about this yet as the site is not up yet. We actually went to Bukit Batok Nature Reserved on March 4th at around 2100hrs. Only three of us went there. Irfah, Fazeli and Hidayat. Words has been said that there is an old lady who'll sweep the pathways in the reserve itself late at night. It is also said that if one encounters the old lady, he/she must back off as the lady herself is said to be a pontianak. Some says that the old lady is a sign that a pontianak is up ahead.
We really have no thoughts of finding anything or a trace of the old lady. We just went there to check up the place as we had got nothing better to do. It's very dark and most of the pathway are very narrow. We wanted to go to the pond. Yat suggested that we go in through the long way. We then actually went up to a memorial site. The pathway and journey there is very steep plus the path is narrow. Yat lead the way at first but he seems to be moving so fast when he claim he's not walking fast. So me and Irfah took the lead. Its Yat's turn to fall behind as he says we are moving in a fast pace when we actually are not. OOOOK...This is weird. Thinking nothing we carried on till we reach lookout no 1 and 2.
We then proceed down as we wanted to rest and see the pond. We were greeted with a big mangrove tree. Upon reaching the pond...Irfah claimed that she heard laughter. Yat and me heard a strong wind blowing sound. They say it came from my hand phone but i don't think so as my hand phone is on silent. I took out my hand phone to check and to our surprise we heard ducks/goose quacking on top of the hill. Yat gets excited and began investigating as he thought it's monkeys fighting. I don't think so as its quacking sounds. And it is believed that pontianaks make take form as ducks/goose. I told yat and he stops searching. Me and Irfah felt as if sumthing drop into the water from above but we don't know what. The sounds subsides and faded off. We took off and never looked back.
We then went to Esso at Bukit Timah to get some drinks and relax for a while before heading home as we don't want 'anything' to follow us back. So far this is the closest encounter with 'something' for Team TKCK. We'll be updating our next expedition to the Mathilda House soon.
