Team TKCK

To kick things off this new year. We wish to tell all our readers that we are going to have more stuffs going on the blog and also Facebook. We've been very dormant for the past 2 years or so and clocking only 3 posts back in 2010. We've been using Facebook so much that we totally didn't manage our blog as its a tedious thing to maintain. Now that blogger is easier to manage, we are able to maintain our page easily and hopefully more updates and adventures will be posted. We hope many of you can share with us your experiences about anything under the sun. For any feedback, do e-mail us at team_tkck@hotmail.com.

Happy 1423H to all muslims.

Islam has a lunar based calendar with 354 days. The New Year date also changes every year as the Islamic Calendar is 11 days shorter than the solar calendar. Maal Hijra or Islamic New Year is celebrated on the first day of Muharram (first Islamic month). The word Muharram also means respect. It is more of a cultural event than a New Year celebration. People welcome the New Year with peace and prayers.

Its been a while.

its been a while since anything has been posted. the team is busy with their work and so forth. but rest assured there will be new things to come. stay tuned.

"Kampong Wak Hassan" -Part 1

Location: Andrews Ave & Jalan Selimang
Exploration Date: 27th Safar 1431 of the Muslim calendar
06/01/10 of the Gregorian Calendar
Encounters: Foul odours, Religious statues, Remnants of old houses with cement base and gates, A bronze frog relic.
Time: 2300 ~ 0200
Team members: Anip, Dayat & Hidir
(Joint outing organized by the guys at SGFX & SGHC)

*Before we begin, just a note. We do not have any photos. So sorry about that but I`m sure people at SGFX and SGHC has tonnes of photos and cool videos of the outing but basically here, all we have are descriptive text. Thank You =)

If you ever been to Sembawang park along its main road on to your right you will see tonnes of old Malay street names but admist that there is a singular street that has a British name called Ändrews road. Makes it easy for us to memorise as we are avid anglers ourselves. This road will lead off to Jalan Selimang and ends by the park connector & Bottle Tree restaurant sembawang. Along Andrews road, you will pass by a mosque called Masjid Kampong Wak Hassan there are many urban legends & rumours surrounding these area.

As I`ve mentioned before anglers including ourselves usually frequent these spots to fish & set bentos for crab catching. Bento is the Malay name for a unique trap design to catch crabs. Admist the local anglers there there have been many stories of them having sighthings of the so called pontianak flying from one tree to another and these area use to be a Malay village where team member Fazly have desribed that his mother use to live around these area and in particular every Thursday night, they will hear pontiank scratching on the roof of the mosque while whorshippers are performing their prayers or reciting verses from the holy Quran but alas our team have never encountred any such sightings or events yet!

SGFX & SGHC have their own outing objectives but our team's objective is to learn more about the history of Kampong Wak Hassan or whats left of it. We hope we will get the chance to update this post again with pictures when we go fishing there again real so you guys have a clearer picture of what we're actually trying to explain.

Part 2 of this post will focus on what we did and what we found or oberved around this scenic and relaxing area

Laptop repairs in singapore

Im just helping a friend to post his ad, he does laptop repairs and takes in faulty laptops. Laptops with no display, cannot be switched on or need to have their motherboard replace can be fixed by him. Usually in most cases service centers for any brand charge around S$750-$800 to change a new mother board. He`ll be able to replace your motherboard with half of the price or less. Its rather cheap considering if your warranty has run out. He does both laptops and desktop repairs as well at extremely low prices e.g In-house desktop troubleshooting only at $25 house call troubleshooting at $50, outside rates are $40/minimum of $80. Reliable and trustworthy You can contact him via mr_seow@hotmail.com or can contact me at ragnorak_85@hotmail.com for any arrangements.Sorry in singapore onli ^^

The Remark of A Professional =)

typical malay wannabes with no proper organization name. i seen your blog, you guys are worst then farkinglinks. quit now and leave these to the pros like SPI and Supernatural.

Supernatural.sg @ 2009-02-16 03:05:56 [ID:162785]

Well this statement speaks for itself. Would a professional make a racist remark like this? I`m pretty sure that the team itself are not full of downliners like him who doesn`t know a thing but speaks too much. I believe that they are a professional group and so are S.P.I and SGfReaky Links but its people like him that tarnished their group reputations of being professional.
Anyway Supernatural dot com dot sg ( sorry guys can`t give you free backlinks if your mean!) has only been around recently the website that is. Most probably our blog has been aroung way longer. Proof?

Misteri Cakaran Pada Kereta & Gambar Kakak Cantik...

This email was written and sent to a local radio DJ who hosts a late night show on the local airwaves where listeners can call, text or email in and share their experiences and paranormal activities.

Hi KC,

I was reading blog PujanggaMalam and decided to post up a link to an entry in my blog with regards to something that I caught on camera. So he had asked me to share with you this photo. It was sometime last year (based on the date of photo is 12 Jan'08) that I had gone out with my brother and friends. We had driven up to Upper Pierce Reservoir (i think) to chill out at the lighthouse. There were 5 cars in total. We were there for about 1/2 hour. So tempat tu was pretty dark at the car park area.

When we were about to leave the premises, we realised that 3 out of the 5 cars were mysteriously scratched. So I was taking pictures of all the vehicles that got scratched (alhamdulilah, my car wasn't one of them). Basically both my car and the other car yg tak kena scratched provided lights to the 3 scratched cars while we waited for the police to arrive. So with my boyfriend's Nokia N95, i began my job of taking photographs of all the scratches i could find on the 3 cars. So while i was snapping photographs of the top of the red car, which was facing my car and the other unscratched car, tergerak hati tak nak tengok the gambar after it was taken. Maklum lah, tempat tu gelap giler, and i had a gut feeling that i might see something that i dont want to, as a result.

A couple of days passed. My boyfriend then told me that he was looking at the photos in his phone one night when he decided to zoom into all the pictures. That was when he spotted the straight white figure next to the headlights. So when i took a look at the photographs, nak ckp it was part of the lampu, tak jugak. Nak cakap org (coz my abg punya tunang had been standing there and had moved just before i took the photo), pun bukan jugak coz my abg punya tunang ikat rambut at that time. But we did make a joke out of the picture. Hantu pakai seluar. Mcm tau je dier nak terbang. haha... By the way, I have not done any editing on the photograph. Neither did my boyfriend. I had bluetoothed it from his handphone. Yg lagi satu gambar (the collage) I had edited to form a collage so that you guys can see how badly the cars were scratched.

P/s: sorry email ni mainly in English.

Thanks KC! (",)

Salam,
Ydah

The email is written in the local slang called singlish. Its a mixture of English with the local dialects that comprises of malay + hokkien + tamil + other unique languages= singlish. Basically the writer just wanted to let the host know that she was hanging out at Upper Pierce Reservoir with her boyfriends and her "cliques". Apparently their 3 out of 5 of their car were scratched unknowingly. While waiting for the arrival of the police to lodged and official report the writer was busy snapping photos of the evidence apparently for insurance purposes I assume. Then after careful analysis of the photo it appears there was a white lady ghostly apparition in one their photos as seen below. On closer view it makes one wonder if it was just a reflection from the headlights. We cannot rule out that there is a big possibility in this scenario. Maybe the writer was just eager to put the blame on the pontianak but then again it might be really "HER"

Upper pierce reservoir is secluded and is only accessible if you have your own transportation and it is usually a lovers dent but there have been few occasion of pontianak sightings and suicide cases of self-drowning in the reservoir itself. Team TkCk had visited the place once to run some investigation but the results were not promising enough.

Gatton Campus Abandon House

Location: Australia, Qld, Gatton - UQ Gatton Premises
Exploration Date:21th Safar 1430 of the Muslim calendar
160209 of the Gregorian Calendar
Encounters: 2 Abandoned houses, old cemetery, Orbs(highly likely to be dust particles), Camera totally malfunction working when entering cemetery area
Time:2300 ~ 0000

Well it took long enough for me to get this post up. As mentioned in an earlier post I`m bashed with lots of work and hope my comrades in Singapore are doing their part as well. Here's my share of our investigation. Me and the honorary Team TkCk member Syaiful(house and course mate) went to investigate this infamous on house campus which was located quite a distance from campus. Which begs a question, "on house campus"?. Let me first explain that the on house campus are like "kampong houses" and are divided into 2 segregation. The first lot are located very near to the campus premises where you can walk to your classes and lectures whereas the 2nd portion are located in the horticultural fields.

The houses that are located in the horticultural fields are spaced very far apart to give a general idea it takes about 10-15 minutes on foot from one house to another. The nearest one to any lecture halls will take at least 35 minutes walk the furthest would probably take about an hour. So imagine how big my campus premises are including all the research fields.

Anyway I will divide this post into 2 parts the first being our exploration into the infamous house in the horticultural fields and on the next part will be on the abandon cemetery and the other abandon house.

Syaiful and I left our house in Gatton town in the midst of on going thunderstorm in the next town called Laidley. As if the weather is even kinder to us too add to the already eerily moonless and dark night. To give a general idea of how dark it was, only when a ligthning broke across the sky can we see at least a hundred meter ahead of us even when we were using High beams. Well for my Singaporeans friends, yes the roads are not lit at night unlike back home to make matters worse, wombats, roos, hares, koalas and wallaby might cross your path. When that happens only 2 things can occur, its too late too avoid and you rammed it head on increasing the chance of damaging your vehicle and believe me its like hitting a rock! 2nd scenario is where you will manage to avoid it but increasing your chances of getting into an accident. So you need a fair bit of skill driving at night on the outback roads. If you are telling yourself"well if it was me, I would have jammed brake", well guess what? You won`t have time when your travelling at 80-100km/h trust me on this!

We arrived on the campus shortly, the thing that worries me the most was the rounds that the security will be making on the rovers but we crossed our fingers and pushed on.This was the first time for Syaiful to go on this kind of exploration but I`m not too bothered as he was an Army Officer during his NS days.I`m pretty sure he can hold his own ground, if not? Well I didn't plan that far, because I just took his word that he`s okay with this kind off trip.

We arrived soon after driving through the campus grounds, passing the research fields and entering the horticultural fields. We never really recce the place at night and it was our first visit during such conditions and true enough we missed it and drove all the way to the mid area of the horticultural fields before we realize that we have drove too far. Funny isn`t it that we knew where the house was located but in the night it was neatly hidden amongst the tall shrubs and dead trees camouflaging it totally! We almost missed it again on our 2nd bypass as well but we manage to reconfirmed our grounds before we went too far.

A little history background on the place. The house is a Queenslander house meaning it was built on stilts of wooden beam which is very similar to the design of our "kampong houses". This particular design approach was adopted by the people living in Queensland because of the climate. Queensland weather patterns and climate are more or less similar to Singapore and Malaysia in most parts, therefore they are subject to flooding so, the practicality of adopting such designs in the olden days were justifiable.

This particular on house campus that we were investigating has many mystery and rumours shrouding it.Till today, the campus management has not leased or rent it out to anyone anymore and as it seems it will stay that way. Here`s some of the stories that I have heard from seniors about the house, it was said that a girl had committed suicide in the house due to stress which I find it hard to swallow but supposings after that they didn't lease the house out for sometime up until few years back.

They re-release the house for rent but surprisingly none of its tenant ever lasted a whole week in the house. When I interviewed one of its past tenant a senior of mine whose from Malaysia. He said that he lived in the house for 3 days when he first came. He got the house after applying for permanent lodgings but within the next 3 days he felt very uneasy as though there was a small girl moving across room to room.Wearing white garments with a blonde hair he usually noticed it at the corner of his eyes. When he turned there was no one in the house or the rooms. He related that when night comes the atmosphere worsen. He felt as though eyes were staring at him till he dared not switch any of the light in the house on the 2nd night. He kept telling himself to shrug it off as it was just his imagination toying with him and then on the 3rd day as he was talking to another senior at that time. He was asked where he was staying and thus the story unfolded. He was shock to learned that a girl had committed suicide there and he was the first tenant to re-occupy the house after that incident. He quickly got back and repacked his belongings and shifted out that very day.He related that after him, he heard there were also some international students that stayed over at that particular house but none lasted past a week.

I never got the chance to talk to any of them as most of them have graduated and went back to their own countries. Stories began to circulate around the campus and soon no one wanted to even rent the place and thus the house has been emptied since then and till today. Stories of how tenants that were living further in the horticultural fields saw the lights in the house were switched on after they were emptied for several months. They also claimed to have saw a shadow of a person, as the drove past the house at night. The rumours that began circulating furthered deepen the impression of the house being haunted.

As we drove in the cramped driveway towards the house we were shocked to see that the grass were as tall as the car.It was impossible for us to us to get to the stairs. We were first afraid of the snakes that might be lurking and secondly we dared not drove further in as it would be the worst possible situation to get the car stuck in some potholes or soft ground. We drove as close as we could to the house and parked it while taking a few snapshots. I personally was pumped up and it was a big disappointment not to be able to explore the inner parts of the house. The thoughts racing through my mind was to go against my better judgement and just bash through. The stair seems so close yet so far but as soon as I opened the car door, I understand of the risk I would have been taking. So we ended up just taking the photos of the house from the our car. I`m sorry guys but it was really a big disappointing outing!

As you can see I have a few friends living on other on house campuses and there are some others that are vacant but yet still fully frunished. They will usually be occupied 1-2 weeks of before the start of the semester but perhaps you can`t see clearly from the picture the house is not furnished at all. It is bare, meaning to say the management has no more intention of leasing or renting it out anymore. I wonder why??? Below are the few snapshots we managed to get hold off, I cannot come to a conclusion because this investigation is still incomplete.

Have a look at the pictures I have posted below!
