Brief Description of the place

Punggol End.Where do we even begin. This is where many innocent lives were lost. Citizens, soldiers and family lost both through war and accidents. The current Punggol end has a small jetty for student to board the ferry for Singapore Outward Bound School (OBS) located on Pulau ubin.

During world war 2 many innocent Chinese man were shot on the beach of Punggol end in the Japanese operation code name:
"Operation Sook Ching" meaning cleansing or eliminating, in other words Holocaust. Many of the restless souls still roams the beach, several encounter has also been heard and seen by the locals who visits the place at night to fish or get some fresh air.Gunfires and screams can be heard and as suddenly as it came,it will disappear into the silence of the night.

On the present note several bodies has also been found around the area. The cause of the death are classified as unnatural death or even murder throughout the few recent years.

1.The van 2. The group with team member Dayat (Left to Right)
Syafie,Nas,Van,Remy,Fathul & Man

For this outing only 2 members of Team Tkck was present. They are Dayat & Hidir. The team was invited by Dayat`s working colleagues for the trip. The van and actual location was provided by them ,therefore Team Tkck likes to express their sincerest thanks to Remy,Wan,Man,Syafie,Fathul,Nas & Van for inviting us.

1.track 24 2. 2 poles sticking out in the middle of no where, reminds you of a tombstones 3.Wet tracks

We started out our journey with an objective as to encounter, see or hear for ourselves and even to capture on our cameras the rumored restless spirits of the dead in the area.We parked the van nearby Punggol End jetty and walked down a little further to a side road branching off the main road called Track 24.

1 & 2. Huge trees surrounded us 3.The group was shocked by something

Again we were surrounded by pitch black darkness engulf with the surroundings trees. It was dead silence with no movement of winds or sounds of the local night insects. We were sure through all this silence a whisper can be heard moreover a scream or perhaps even gunfires.

1.Muddy water-logged track 2.Sparse lalang vegetation 3.Sand tracks

As we walked further on it gets muddier and muddier but the vegetation begins to sparse.Evidently this shows we were approaching the coast line.True enough the muddy track started to distinguish itself as sand tracks and we were approaching the coast line.

1.a concrete sea break to distinguish between land & beach 2.Venturing through the coastal treks(An orb is imminent in this picture) 3. Nas snapping photos

Moving along we trekked by the coastal shores keeping our ears and eyes sharp as possible.Snapping shots quickly, on possible haunting grounds.

1.Coastal fence acts as a guide to us 2.A picture of a semi-mature rue tree 3.Rubbish and what seems like a makeshift bed lies underneath the tree

1.Vegetation starts to thicken 2.From sparse landscape to semi-grassland areas 3.Far bank of the canal

The team kept on going until we reached a the end of the canal. The vegetation starts to thicken at this point and across the far bank Nas pointed out that he heard rumors, that the other side of the bank is supposedly to be more haunted. We skirted around and trek on through as we came across a bridge.Between the bridge and where the canal has ended there was a four way junction.

1. Remy leading the way 2.Unique looking tree perhaps somebody would prefer sitting there? 3. A gecko that we caught

Apparently Remy and Fathul claimed to be a little uneasy around this area. They were right. As mentioned earlier we have adopted the concept of snap and view as we move along, due to the lack of time and a large area to cover.Basically to say, we did a quick glance through for every photo that we took on site and ironically perhaps we have missed the photo below. This particular photo was brought to our attention only after we have reached home.

Unedited photo of a Smokey mist or white apparitions that was took around the area Remy & Fathul felt uneasy.

What exactly it is we have no idea.An entity warning us that we are entering its territory or perhaps we just disturbed it or maybe its just the night mist. One thing for sure is that throughout the whole journey none of us even lighted a cigarettes or a match.

1.Dayat & Hidir looking at the bridge 2.Parts of the bridge 3.A warning light was place in the bushes after you have reached the other side

The group move along and we found a bridge made of iron poles linking the two river/canal beds.At this moment Remy and Man already took out their hand phones and began recording audio visual.Remy had a sixth sense about the area and surprisingly enough while we were playing back the recorded visual later there was a womens voice in the background and the only women in the group was left behind on the van. This together with the white apparitions might suggest that we might have accidentally came across a being and has ventured into its territory.(The audio recording can be heard on our music player on the right hand column* listen to the first 4 secs of each recording)

1.A picture of the bridge 2.A picture taken under the bridge through the poles

After crossing the bridge it was yet another coastal shores. There were some uneasy and tense atmosphere in the air and we too were running out of time. The grouped agreed that it was time to turned back leaving the other part of Punggol End beach for next time.

1.The tree where we sat underneath it 2. 2 white statues or perhaps deity located at the bottom of the tree
3. A close up of one of the deity

We made our way back to the van and after a tiring trek we took a seat by the road side underneath a huge tree.As we were sitting and talking about the explorations Dayat & Hidir had this peculiar feeling about the tree behind them.True enough as we went around the huge tree and snapped a few photos we saw 2 white deities or statues hidden behind it.Nas told us that the few big tress along the roadside were usually where some Chinese place their offerings.

What made these few trees so special? What was the bond it had to the area or the locals? Was it witness to some awful events or did local believe it would bring them luck?

1.The tree where Remy claimed to have seen the lady 2.Exact position he pointed out where she was sitting 3.The bus stop opposite the tree

Before we departed Nas again informed us of an area near Punggol End called the Punggol village it was located off the main road so the group decide to drive along slowly and keep a look out for it.Nas claimed that it is visible from the road.

We stopped beside a bus stop as we saw a broken off track leading away from the main road.Remy got off and went to further investigate alone. He came back looking a bit preplexed and later we were told that he saw the lady of the night on one of the tree and then it disappeared.

We venture to the claimed tree hoping to snap a few photos of it but to no avail but across the opposite bus stop we caught a rather interesting photo with an orb looking like a face behind it.

Look at the circled portion,it is an orb but this particular one had a distinguish face on it.

A zoom portion.A face can be seen within the orb

All and all it was a good outing with a few good and solid evidence capture on audio visuals and cameras.Punggol End is definitely a place full of mysteries and rich in history. All dating back during the Japanese Occupation and till today.May the roaming spirits in the area rest in peace.
