Complain lah complain

To the readers of Team Tkck out there. The next post is nothing related to the Team`s effort but it is something I would like to share so as people out there should stand up for their rights.

To whom it may concern,

I`m writing this email to lodge a complaint on an incident against mybrother on bus service No.6 around 2.35 after the Al-Istighfar mosque located in Pasir Ris.My brother has an Ez-link card from his secondaryschool days and is now in his ITE.He was using his secondary school EZ-link previously as he is still a student because he has yet toreceived his ITE EZ-link pass.

Recently he topped up his secondary school EZ-link card and was unableto use it.He went to the Jurong East Mrt on 10/3/08 station to have itreplaced with a new student EZ-link but was decline as the SMRT staffsaid his new ITE EZ-link was still in the process. His new ITE EZ-linkhas yet to arrive after 2 weeks and all the attendant could say was heshould just use the adult fair.I`m very displeased with thesituation. What can be done?Isn`t their any way the situation could beresolve.Perhaps the attendant could have issued a temporary student EZ-link.

Are you people paying for my brother's adults fairs? We live in BukitBatok and he has to travel to Paya Lebar to and fro daily for 2 weeksnow with adult fair.Thats 20 trips on the MRT using adult fair. How areyou going to compensate my parents money with this?

Secondly today on board Bus No.6 around 2.35 p.m my brother`s EZ-linkwas retained. He boarded the bus and paid the student price. The buscaptain did not believe my brother was still a student. He then producehis Ez-link which will expire on this 31st March 2008 and yet the busCaptain still retain his Ez-link.Why was this action taken? I am verybaffled by this? Why is an Ez-link card that has not expired with my brother`s face on it,got retained by the Bus Captain at his owndiscreet. Can I know the protocol or the procedure behind the actiontaken by the Bus Captain on duty. Was he following the procedures laid bythe SBS or the SMRT? If so i would clearly suggest that the SMRT and theSBS revise thier procedures.

Both my parents and I are very very upset and displeased about thisincident and now if my brother was to board a bus.He has no proof thathe is a student and has to pay an adult fair.He still has to pay theadult fair when he goes to school next week. How is the SMRT going to compensate us?I want to know how SMRT is going to do about our situationand assure me that this won`t happen again in the future. What is SMRT and SBS going to do with the situation that my brother is facing?Whatare the actions that would be taken by SMRT and SBS against the mentioned Bus Captain on duty on that particular day.
